Another month, albeit the shortest of the year. I still haven’t had a chance to get into the process side of my writing and write that detailed plan for the year, been too busy writing a novel. Guess that’s a good problem to have. Let’s go over this month quick. It’s a month of endings, for several different stories that have been with us…

Many of you know I’ve been writing in the Friendship is Optimal universe for years now. I’ve explored some fun ideas in all that time, eventually writing 250,000 words of short stories, and one novel. I felt like all those stories would make for good candidates for a hardcover, and finally had the time to put them all together! If you’d like a copy,…

This state of the scribe will be separated into two parts–the usual updates on the calendar for the upcoming month, then a few thoughts from me about my work here on Fimfiction in general. But we’re getting hit with so many new stories this month that I thought it would be better to put my more general thoughts into its own entry. Expect that…

Hey everybody, just wanted to put out the call that I’d just released a new story! FiO: Homebrew is a Friendship is Optimal novel, focused on another aspect of the universe I hadn’t seen developed before. In this case, I’ve always wondered about the large community of modders and hackers in the real world, and how they might respond. Obviously it should go without…

Hey pones, just wanted to mention a brand new story! It’s a Ponies After People story, focusing on one of the minor characters of the Eternal Lonely Day. Might be a fun one to check out, particularly if you’re in the mood for something a little different, or something about changelings. https://www.fimfiction.net/story/420722/evoli-victorious

Hey everypony! I just thought I’d let anyone who enjoyed the first story in this series that I wrote a sequel! It should end up being about the same length as the first story, maybe a little longer. Why not check it out?

Hey everyone! Today’s a huge day for me, one I’ve been waiting on for way too long. I finally published a book! Realistically, I should’ve done something like this way sooner. I’ve had a dozen novels that are entirely my own content, ready to post whenever. But I’ve never been willing to pull the trigger until now. I know these calendar updates are typically…

Hello there ponies! We’ve ridden the wave of the year to the magical shores of July, and what an adventurous ride it’s been! I hope you’re all relishing your summers, with enough ice-cream to go around. Firstly, I need to apologize for not posting Beyond the Veil of Sleep to Fimfiction last month. I was off on a vacation, spending some quality time with…

Happy Holidays ponies and friends! The year is almost over–still I find myself amazed that I’m writing these stories after so long. But it’s a good kind of amazement, the kind where I reflect with tremendous gratitude that I’m here. Many of you know that I’m only still able to write these stories thanks to your support, and you’ve poured it out richly this…

Yeah, basically what the title says. I get some awesome commissions sometimes, ones I wish I could share but that just don’t fit on Fimfiction. In this story, various terrible people are transformed into Eeveeloutions by a powerful legendary, with a tantalizing promise of escape if only they can overcome their flaws and become better people. Anyone who likes Pokemon and/or animal TF type…
