State of the Scribe: September 2026

Hey pones! Realized I’d forgot to post this, so I’m catching up real quick. I really hoped that my website for all my original fiction would be finished by now, but turns out going to 3 conventions all back to back didn’t leave me a lot of time for web development. The crazy part is that it is working, only it only mirrors pony stories so far, making it a worse version of fimfiction and not terribly useful. But I am excited about what it will be! Having all the stories in one place should make them much easier to read the non-pony stories. Patreon is a pain in that way, I know. And my hope is that it would be a universal home for audio versions, printed books–everything together, easy to find, remembering your place if you were reading anything.

I’ll save the link for next month, though the site is already up. I just don’t want to share something that isn’t finished.

Everfree Northwest was a ton of fun this year; crazy how big the fandom still is. That convention keeps growing, though I think at least some of that is absorbing the cons that aren’t happening anymore. Still, it’s always fun. I should get my Iron Author submission up. But I don’t know if I want to post it without a cover of some kind. Maybe I’ll use simple typography or something.

Still waiting on the covers, so my roman legion in equestria story gets delayed another month :(. Fingers crossed for next month!

It’s an anthro world, though you’ll find plenty of my usual hallmarks (like TF), ancient technology, human influence, etc. I’m hoping to see it work as a series, it’s one of those worlds that has so much going on it could sustain several books with ease. • Layers of Change–Imagine an infinitely recursive hollow earth, where our same planet becomes increasingly bizarre the deeper down you travel. The story follows a true shapeshifter (at least he becomes one early on), which in this world are one of the most feared and dangerous beings–as they can travel freely between layers and take forms suited to each one. He becomes strange creatures, though his travels soon lead him to creatures he fears to leave behind.
